Exhibition: Urban Living With Artists Jill Tanenbaum and Cathy Abramson

Montpelier Arts Center in Rockville will present Urban Living with artists Jill Tanenbaum and Cathy Abramson – for the months of April and May 2019. This two-woman show of fused glassworks and oil paintings feature the colors, shapes, and energy found in and around urban settings. One can feel the pulse of a city in the work of both of these women.

The combination of 2D paintings and 3D glass sculptural pieces in this show present a vivid and balanced look at urban life through the artistry of glasswork and painting.
The exhibit opens Saturday, April 6, 2019, and continues through Sunday, May 26, 2019. A public reception is being held Sunday April 7 from 2-4 pm. Viewing hours are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. seven days a week. For visits after 5pm (Monday-Thursday) please call 301-377-7800 in advance.

This course will prepare parents, grandparents and caregivers for the care of an infant. Lecture, group discussion and “hands-on” practice are used to enhance learning. Topics include the newborns appearance, feeding, sleeping, crying, signs of illness, caring for a sick infant, infant stimulation and parenting roles. Newborns are welcome.

You might also be interested in the New Mom’s Support Group. Please note that if a class status says “Call for Information” that class is not available.
Class is registered per couple. For your own benefit, we recommend registering for a class that ends approximately four weeks prior to your due date.
