Columbia is a planned community that has influenced suburban development since its creation in the mid-1960’s.  The city grew out of rural farmland, patterned by the best thinkers of its time, including visionary developers, and a team of consultants and transportation planners.  World-famous architects designed key buildings.  Oakland Manor, featuring a barn that is a historical landmark, is one example of the structures preserved to give roots to the new town.  Columbia is a community that consists of ten self-contained villages, located in Howard County, Maryland.

Columbia Choice Luxury Apartments is located in the Village of Harper’s Choice, who’s village center includes Safeway, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Papa John’s Pizza, and a variety of specialty stores.  The village center is also home to the Columbia Athletic Center, and Kahler Hall, where free outdoor concerts are held for the community during the summer months.
